The Elizabeth W. Murphey School welcomes applications from qualified individuals seeking to effect positive change in the lives of our children, through the application of our tested process in a team approach. Applicants must have at least a high-school diploma, a current driver's license, and due to State regulations, must be 21 years or older. Previous experience in similar settings is strongly preferred, but not required. A patient, calm and positive attitude is essential to our mission.

A criminal background check and a negative drug screen is required for initial employment. In addition, your driving record must be acceptable to our insurance company.

We are currently accepting applications houseparents!

Our houseparents are the direct care personnel who work with our children on a daily basis. The duties include helping to prepare meals, transporting children to appointments, supervising children, assist them with medications, working with the clients to promote self-esteem and healthy attitudes, and ensuring the safety of our children at all times. All overnight positions require alert, awake staff who also carry out additional responsibilities.
